Canvas of the Written Word
Writing has been the passion of my heart since I was a little girl... half of a half pint! Words are the writer's paint upon a pristine canvas awaiting the opportunity to illustrate the intangible. The written word is a physical manifestation of our thoughts and dreams, our objectives and missions, our knowledge and discoveries... our presentation of ourselves to the world. I am blessed to spend my time doing and sharing something which is precious to me. Presently I am engaged in freelance writing and am shepherding my first homeschooling book through the query process.
Lyrics Through a Lens
Like most souls who embrace the arts, who crave that which is beautiful, I am enamored by a wide range of media... especially photography. Photographs are but a song of the soul, one person's lyrics through a lens. The Creator of all that is beautiful has given us the finest subjects with which to delight our senses! There are moments and vistas in which I struggle to select a refined frame of focus for the irresistible urge to embrace a 360 degree panorama. Yet there are other moments and scenes in which I crave an infinite level of depth and detail, when regardless of the sophistication of equipment one simply cannot get close enough, when the desire washes over to simply meld into the sight before you.
What was in one split moment an image in a lens becomes a song of the soul... when we listen with our eyes.
Life Set to Music
Without the art of music, visual arts and literary creations would be somehow left longing for a third dimension... the dimension of harp and lute, of lyrical chorus and verse.
As a licensed Kindermusik educator, I marvel as little ones and adults alike are beautifully freed to express themselves more fully in the realm of music... playing, singing, laughing, dancing. Elusive, lovely and incomparable are the moments when a young child gazes into the eyes of a loved one... swept away in song... writing their own story. Art of the human soul.
